BHHA has represented our unique Brentwood Hills neighborhood for more than four decades, focusing on quality-of-life issues with special focus on firesafety and prevention, home security, open space preservation, and mitigation of west side impacts such as Sunset Boulevard traffic.
BHHA works closely with elected and appointed officials at all levels of government. Brentwood Community Council is currently chaired by BHHA board member, Carolyn Lobuglio. BHHA is a longstanding member of the Hillside Federation. Our strong leadership helps protect our community including surrounding parkland in Sullivan Canyon and the Santa Monica Mountains. BHHA was instrumental in the public acquisition of the Westridge Road trailhead and surrounding land, now an important part of the 1,500-acre Westridge-Canyonback Wilderness Park. Other BHHA achievements include:
▪ Developing 24-hr remote wildfire cameras on nearby ridges, working
with Alert Wildfire and neighboring community groups;
▪ Establishing Mission Canyon Park, working with the Santa Monica
Mountains Conservancy and other community groups, including the
construction of new LAFD fire helipads;
▪ Supporting LAFD firefighters by donating to buy night vision goggles;
▪ Coordinating with other homeowner groups to support fire safety public
meetings and Mandeville Canyon fire evacuation drills;
▪ Working with Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy rangers to improve
the Westridge trailhead area and maintain a clean and safe trailhead;
▪ Working with LADWP to support the permanent repair and replacement
of transformers to avoid power outages;
▪ Working with SoCalGas to ensure Sullivan Canyon is properly restored
after their periodic pipeline maintenance work;
BHHA relies on the contributions of our members to support this important work.
As our shared experience with the Palisades Fire shows, it is more important
than ever to have a strong homeowners association. Please join us!
To become a member, please send a check for $100 or $200 if you can made out to BHHA along with your name and address (e-mail and phone are optional, but appreciated).

Annual Meeting and Election
BHHA planned to hold its annual meeting earlier this year. Due to the Palisades Fire the meeting has been delayed. The BHHA Annual Meeting and Election will take place this year via Zoom at 5:00 pm on May 28, 2025. Here is the Zoom link:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81619787000?pwd=ZzJST0pRSG8rOUI5WVQxV2RQSmM5dz09
Please join us to discuss your key neighborhood issues and concerns, and to meetyour board members and neighbors. If you cannot attend but would like to share any thoughts or ideas with the board, please send an email to info@brentwood-hills.org or return a note with your dues envelope.
Board Election
BHHA will hold its election of directors at the annual meeting. Directors have rotating 3-year terms. Up for re-election this year are longtime directors Michael Freehling, who currently serves as BHHA Treasurer, and Jerry Adomian. They haveboth served the board with distinction and are willing to continue as directors. The election for these seats are not contested and will therefore be held by acclamation.
New BHHA Directors are Needed!
BHHA needs new directors to replace directors who have recently retired from service. Any Brentwood Hills homeowner current on their dues may apply to join. BHHA would like to reinvigorate our website and bolster community outreach efforts and communications—directors and community volunteers with social media skills are needed. We especially encourage newer and younger community members to join.
Please reach out to us if you are interested in serving on the board, or as a volunteer on a community issue close to your heart. If you are interested in serving as a director or in volunteering to help the board do a better job, please let us know!
New Members are Also Welcome!
We encourage all community members to come to the annual meeting to hear about BHHA’s activities and your ideas for new projects we should consider.
BHHA dues are only $100 per year (or $200 at the “Platinum” level). Dues help BHHA serve the community, including community donations to support LAFD and the neighborhood holiday lights, our website, newsletters, and many other important initiatives.
BHHA dues cover for the current fiscal year through October 31, 2025 can be mailed to:
BHHA, P.O. Box 49495, Los Angeles, CA 90049.
Dues may also be paid at our website: www.brentwood-hills.org.
You may also sign up for community safety alerts and other important notices. BHHA has a strict “no spam” policy and we will never sell or share your private contact or other personal information.
